Cursed

Cursed was beautifully crafted as the sequel to Gilded. The character development Marissa gave the characters

and the world building was breathtaking. She uses such great descriptions to help me visualize this world. The castles and the weather even. Gild and Serlinda begin this book making due with the problems the Erlking left them with. The Erlking had murdered Serlinda’s students and cursed them to serve her. She was pregnant and alone. And Gild had to stay away. Cursed is all about showing Gild who he is, defeating the Erlking and having their own version of happy ever after.

Marissa did a beautiful job continuing this story. I continued to fall more in love with the characters. I stayed up late just to see what was coming. The love between Gild and Serlinda was beautiful in its young love. She continued to do a great job with weaving the back stories of all the characters throughout the chapter. She is great at giving depth to even the most evil creature. I could not put it down. I will proudly display this series and loan it out if I want. (They are signed copies so I am a little selfish when it comes to these).
